Blueberry picking

We purchased memberships to the train museum.  Caroline helping Nicolas is priceless.

William chose to be the train chef.  Gourmand!

Nearly as great as Idlewild' Park in Reno.

I needed a faster shutter speed to catch this action from above.

Choo, too cute!

Caroline in the museum's garden

This is how I feel about being in a train cabin too.

Enthralled!

Philippe went to the Roger's Tennis Tournament and took LOTS of photos.  Here's one of a hundred.

Masters of the railway

Prehistoric world was an absolute hit.  Two older brothers have spent their lifetime creating life-size concrete statues of dinosaurs.  We benefited from their over-sized hobby.

This is the view from our rustic cabin. It was the best "camping" ever.

We took a cruise around the 1000 islands divided between Canada and upstate New York. Island living looked appealing.

Boldt Castle was a valentine for a millionaire's wife.  When she died, it was left vacant and unfinished for decades.

A toast to the vacation good life.

We paddle-boated over the lake.  I've missed my bicycle; this was a worthy substitute.

June 2015

William was the north wind in his class play.  It was a brilliantly nuanced recitation. (No bias)

Our friends invited us to the local amusement park.  I loved this ride because it didn't perpetually spin in circles.

We celebrated the provincial holiday with Maman and Eve.  The weather was of itself worth celebrating.

Look carefully at the candles and his age will be revealed!

May 2015

We painted the kitchen, living room, Caroline's, Nicolas' and William's rooms.  Wow!
Tulips in our back garden.  I mentioned to my neighbor that we didn't plant them.  She said, "Dig them up and replant them if you can't appreciate what was left to you."  Yeah for gratitude and yard work accomplished by someone else.

After another over-long winter the park is EXTRAORDINARY

She outgrew her tricycle over the winter.

After a week of renovations, we took a weekend trip to Toronto.

The petting zoo was highly interactive.

"Better with age" applies aptly to our "Mamie"

Who is reading to who?

March 2015

William put a balloon on his nose, my gloves on his hands and feet, and  a bathrobe belt for a tail, to demonstrate what he'd look like if he were a Proboscis monkey. No more wondering what if on this point!

This is the Annual General Meeting for the library.  Clearly, I'm telling a story.

Caroline likes her hair in braids because of the movie Frozen.

Like every other household with a young daughter, the "Frozen Fever" is a-cute...

Did I mention "Frozen Fever?"

Symptoms include putting ice-cream buckets on your head! It's getting a-cute(r) all the time!

Ready helpers to blow out the birthday candles

Leda the Giraffe comes home in William's backpack from school.  We are to write a story about what he does while visiting.  Caroline introduced Leda to our anatomically correct giraffe.

I was asked to speak in Spanish for this baptism.  I practiced but always ended up being a polyglot in all the wrong ways.

Not sleepy

Move over Imogene

There's a reading room at the Biodome.  Nicolas took full advantage.

Bilingual sloth crossing - I relate!
