Jean-Michel's Funeral Service

Philippe's brother Jean-Michel passed away peacefully 24 March 2009. He was diagnosed more than 25 years ago with Leukemia. Each day was a borrowed blessing. We gathered as a family to honor him on 28 March. Pictured are: Anne (Anne's daughter) Patrick, Anne, Leandre, Maman, William, Rachel, Philippe, Sarah, Amaya & Eve.

A Perfect 10 Dressed to the 9's

Aunt Leah and I have had "adjoined" closets for years. In our teen years we composed "Hot Date Outfits - HDO's" William's HDO is smokin' thanks again to Leah's lending. (If only you could see the grey pin striping detail on the socks and patten-leather shoes!)

Mother's Group

On Thursdays we meet for Mother's Group. Pictured are Sarah-Abigail(6 mo) with her Mom, Rose, William (5 mo) with his Mom, Rachel, Khalil (4 mo) with his Mom, Cassandra. It's great to compare where we've been and where we are going!

Cloning?

I made a card for my father-in-law with this picture - Philippe was 6 months when it was taken. There's a striking (by striking I mean - wow if Father and Son are clones, pregnancy was quite a chore ;-) resemblance.

Our friends Sarah, David & Olivia and Emilie, Sergio and Noemi came for dinner the day after Christmas. At one point, all the mothers were seated on the couch feeding their babies. We seem to be living parallel lives with our friends - just a few years ago we were all "swinging singles." Parenthood is even better!

Reading Grandma Jean's Christmas gift to William - 26 Dec. 2008

Grandma Jean sent Meekrat Mailby Emily Gravett - very fun book to further feed William's clearly manifest literary tendencies ;-).

Noël at Papa and Maman Lemblé - 24 & 25 December 2008

William's first Christmas was spent with Grandma and Grandpa Lemblé. He was sweetly spoiled. We were too. There was never a shortage of relatives to hold him, kiss him, and comment how extraordinarily adorable he is. (We can't refute the obvious truth...) Grandma Lemblé outdid herself with holiday feasts. A favorite was the chestnut stuffing.

William's First Christmas in our Home - 24 Dec. 2008

We were all dressed, clean and awake in this photo. After several attempts, we accepted that was enough and let William take an overdue nap.
This is the first time we've put up our own full size Christmas Tree. That's what "home for Christmas" means!
